Celine Dion is set to thrill Malaysian fans!

Celine Dion Live In Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

LATEST NEWS (28 Mar 2008) : Please note that the concert has been POSTPONED to 13th of April 2008 which is a Sunday. It is reported on the Galaxy website www.galaxy.com.my. If you know anyone who is attending, spread the words.

(Old news : 23 Mar 2008) : Huge Celine Dion fan in Penang, John De Silva, is organising a one-day event celebrating her appearance in Malaysia on 30th March. There will be a get-together session for the fans to swap Celine’s stuff and to sign a special scrapbook which will be handed over to Celine Dion via the concert organiser. Not only that, a few localities will be performing some famous Celine songs as well in a mini concert, plus you get to enjoy screening of Celine’s videos! If you are in Penang, don’t miss this out. For more information, go to : JohnDeSilva.blogspot.com

(Old news : 11 Mar 2008) : Here is a chance for you to win A PAIR of TICKETS worth RM788. Tune into LiteFM radio from 17 - 21 March and the moment you heard a Celine Dion song played on air, call 03-95433333 and the 9th caller through would have to guess the title song to win the tickets. Good luck!

(Old news : 8 Mar 2008) : My cousin collected his $288 concert tickets this morning! Here is a scan of it. It is for the free seating section at the side of the stadium. So, guys, CELINE DION is really coming to rock us all!

Celine Dion Concert Ticket Malaysia

(Old news : 3 Mar 2008) : Galaxy Group website has been updated! Click www.galaxy.com.my

It seems you can start booking your tickets via the phone with Galaxy Group (03-22822020) now. I’ve been told that VVIP seats are currently not for sale, the nearest rows after that would be RM1000 and the following section would be RM788 and etc.

(Old news : 19 Feb 2008) : I have no idea what is going on but according to Galaxy/Axcess, the tickets have not been released for sale yet. They will only make the official announcement sometime next week. There are rumours that the ticket prices might go up, OMG. The concert details have been removed from Galaxy Group website at the moment. Strangely, someone left a comment on my blog that she bought the RM268 ticket already. I wonder if she got hold of the ticket or not.

(Old news : 16 Feb 2008) : The ticket prices and seating plan have been released. Prices range from a whopping RM998 to RM138! The silly thing is that the most expensive seats for sale do not look good to me as they are located BEHIND the so-called VVIP section. These exclusive VVIP seats are available for sale as well at an unpublished rate of RM2,500 each which is equivalent to a general paycheck (or double of it)! Fans of Celine’s who gave her the most support should have the chance to grab the best seats, and not some people (or “Datuks/Datins”) who aren’t much of a fan. You can head over to Galaxy Group (which is currently DOWN for unknown reason) or Axcess Tickets for more information. I’ve heard news that there would be some changes made on the ticketing matter. A lot of fans have voiced their anger on the way Galaxy/Artist World handles the ticket bookings. We will wait and see how it goes…

(Old news : 5 Feb 2008) : Local fans of Celine Dion must be jumping for joy when they read on The Star newspaper recently that her concert in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia has been confirmed! She will be performing on the 8th of April 2008 at the Stadium Merdeka which I personally think is a pretty bad choice. I attended Mariah Carey’s concert at the same venue a few years ago and didn’t quite like the environment. Hopefully, if the tickets sold like hot cakes (which is sure to happen), the organiser, Artiste World, would consider moving the stage to another stadium, such as the Bukit Jalil Stadium :p

Oh well, the ticket details are not available at press time and I am very sure fans of Celine Dion from neighbouring countries can’t wait to grab hold of the tickets to attend the concert of a lifetime! Long queue to be expected, I guess?

Anyway, I will post more information as soon as I received it.

To get the celebration starting, here’s a live performance of the awesome song, Power Of Love, on YouTube for you to enjoy :

Winshoo dot Com First Contest!

Sean Kingston’s CD Single

Sean Kingston’s CD Single Giveaway

If you are one of the people who can’t stop loving that “suicidal” song, Beautiful Girls, by Sean Kingston, here is your chance to win this rare Promotional Copy of the CD single. It contains the following tracks :

  1. Album Version
  2. A Cappella
  3. Instrumental
  4. Remix feat. Fabolous & Lil’ Boosie

Personally, I never like this song at all and since I won this from a silly competition, it would be nice to give it to someone who enjoys Sean’s music.

Here is what you need to do. Complete the following line using 20 words or less :

I DESERVE THIS CD BECAUSE…

Leave your answer at the comment section of this post. Remember to fill in your name and email address, so I can contact you if you won. The person who comes out with the most creative and funny line wins! Please, no obscenity and vulgar words.

Now, the problem is that I don’t get many readers in here. So, I might have to let this contest runs until I received at least 20 entries, LOL! Well, if I am in a really good mood (rarely), I might just give the CD away to the FIRST PERSON who entered. In the case of ZERO entry, the CD goes back to my cabinet! :)

By the way, this contest is opened to readers with a WEST Malaysia mailing address only. Sorry! I am just “testing the water” at the moment.

Lastly, only one entry per email address is allowed. If you want to cheat, you may create multiple email addresses for the sake of participating :P

Good luck!

TGIF RM100.00 Voucher

TGIF Voucher

Woo-hoo! That’s the TGIF Voucher worth RM100.00 that I won from Fly FM over a month ago. I drove all the way to Sri Pentas TV3 to collect it this afternoon. None of the staff of the radio station had called to inform me to collect it until I gave them a buzz this morning! I asked why and the reason was “Oh, I think because we couldn’t get hold of you…”. Duh! And the expiry date stated on the voucher is 31 January 2008. Oh well, it’s time to party a bit for free, hopefully, next weekend. I haven’t received the RM200.00 cash though. It seems “all the winners’ cheques are being processed”…

Should I run a contest?

Sean Kingston’s CD SingleI have a copy of Sean Kingston’s Promo CD Single for his first ever hit, Beautiful Girls, and am pondering if it should be given away in a contest. But what kind of question should I throw? How should I run the competition in a way it can attract readers to participate?

Any suggestion? :)

Surprise, surprise!

My friend, Melvin, recently surprised me by presenting me a bunch of CDs as Christmas-New Year gifts but mainly as tokens of appreciation for helping him to create the theme logo (or whatever we call it) for his company’s annual dinner. He has friends, living in Australia and UK, coming back here for holidays and so requested them to purchase these CDs prior to their visits because he knows I’ve been wanting to get these items for quite some time.

Firstly, he gave me a copy of the Australian edition of Kylie Minogue’s current single called 2 Hearts and the new single of Delta Goodrem, Believe Again. Before I unwrapped the final CD, he actually told me it was a DVD of his company’s annual dinner video and I believed him! But when I realised it is Leona Lewis‘ single, Bleeding Love, I was like “OMG! I didn’t see this coming!”. Leona is UK’s up and coming artist who is doing extremely well in the charts. She won the previous talent competition called X Factor and is always compared to singing divas such as Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston.

Anyway, the surprise didn’t end there. Last night, when we were having a drink at a mamak stall near my place, out of nowhere Melvin passed me the new album of Australian artist, Ricki-Lee, called Brand New Day. That was definitely unexpected! Well, it wasn’t really something that he planned. A friend mailed the CD to him lately and since he already owns a copy, he thought I would be the best person to give it to as I, kind of, listen to Ricki as well. Ah, I just love receiving free CDs!

By the way, since I earlier mentioned about the annual dinner of Melvin’s company, here is a photo of him dressing up for the theme which was “Bling-Bling Night”! I teased him that he looked like some R&B popstar from the USA.
